Greek Prime Minister To Step Down

Treasury prices are mostly unchanged this morning as the situation in Europe remains very uncertain. Over the weekend, Greek Prime Minister Papandreou announced that he will to step down to make way for a leadership to form and Prime Minister Berlusconi is facing similar pressure in Italy. In terms of economic data, today’s calendar is light with only September consumer credit due to be released. The calendar for the rest of the holiday shortened trading week remains light as well. Currently, the 10yr yield is at 2.036% (2.111% Friday) and the 2-10 yield spread is at 180bps, flatter by 6bps since Friday morning.
